Finished software you use over the internet; the provider runs everything beneath it.
The provider runs the application and all the infrastructure under it; you just sign in through a browser or an application programming interface (API). Microsoft 365, Salesforce and Gmail are SaaS. You manage nothing technical, but under the shared-responsibility model your data, who has access and your settings are still yours to secure.
